A couple of days ago Jason and Nick were messing around on my cell phone. They love changing my settings and setting obnoxious ring tones to bug me. Jason my eldest son at 14 then asked how I spelled my name. Thinking he was joking I asked him to spell it. He got the T right and maybe a A and a S is there but other wise butchered it. He really had no idea how it was spelled. As a "punishment" I wrote in PINK permanent marker on his hand and he had to go to school in it. Once again this name has bitten me in the bum.

Christmas Pool Jump
The Gardner's have a strange Christmas tradition. It all started when Cole came home from BYU as a starving student. His parents told him they would pay him 20$ if he jumped into to pool on Christmas morning. The pool was freezing and frosted with ice and he had to swim all the way across. This started the the annual Gardner Christmas morning pool jump. His brothers and sister did it for years and after I married in I even did it twice. It got stranger as the years progressed. A 10$ bill pinned on a speedo, a 100$ in a baggie on the bottom of the deep end. The last year the elder Gardners hosted it , Cole and I decided to go out with a bang. I jumped in a bikini 5 months pregnant and Cole in my materinty suit, pot belly and all! It was quite a sight and talked about for a while.
Last year we decided to start it again with our children. Times have changed and 20$ was not much of a enticement, little buggers! We heated our pool and they had to grab bags of unknown alotments of cash. This year we did gift cards but no pool heating. Erik was the only one to chicken out. Cole's brother brought his girlfriend to watch and I am sure she thinks we are child abusers after seeing Erik cry and scream not to go in.

Girls Camp 2004
My Friend Donelle just blogged she in now in Young Woman's-again. I am so excited for her. I loved working with the youth of the church. Since we have 5 boys it was great to have that calling even if it was my most challenging calling yet.
These pictures are when we were at girls camp held at Taylor Ranch. Tiffany Moser was the YW president then with Stacey and Donelle. I was camp director that year. The year I was Pres. the rodeo fire was coimg down on us and we had to leave just hours after we got there. Donelle was my camp director that year.
I just wanted to selfishly point out that in this picture I am the one on the right and a size 2 at that time!

New Years Day
The Quinns came over from Texas to spend 6 days with us. While they were here we had LOTS of parties, girls nights and general hanging out. The Quinns, Dennisons, Mabbs, Linfords, Winingers, Howards, Leslie, Alene, Melody, and our family got a lot of face time with each other. We saw the Temple lights, went to Jimmy's to get pedicures, play dates at the park, movies, birthday parties, looking for land, and the guys took in a Sun's game to boot. At the New Year party we had a Seinfeld trivia game and gave our grievances holding our metal festivas pole. We also played the newly wed game. I wish it a painful death never to come back and haunt any of our future parties! Yes, we lost big .
The next day we went with friends to Discovery Park. We played volleyball, fed ducks, and rode bikes. We had a
great time. We were glad the Quinns came and miss them so much. The Mabbs and our family are going to
Ft. Worth in March to stay and visit with them. We are so Excited!

Once upon a scale....
Most of you, nay, all of you are aware that I'm a fan of Weight Watchers. Well it seems you have to actually do it not just endorse it to stay trim. Hence I have gained 20 pounds since this picture was taken. My goal is to lose that 20 pounds and to become healthier. I'll be happy with 15! I also want to do this to feel better and not puff when I go up the stairs. I'll keep you updated on my progress and maybe even Cole's.
